About the destination

Kathmandu is the historically rich capital and largest city of Nepal. Visit Swayambhunath where the Monkey Temple stands tall overlooking Kathmandu. Even more awe-inspiring is the massive Boudha Stupa in Boudha, one of the holiest sites for Tibetan Buddhism. The Hindu Temple at Pashupatnath provides a good insight into Hinduism in Kathmandu. Here, you will witness the large fires for cremations on the banks of the Baghmati River. Head to Thamel for restaurants, bars, and shops.
