The coastal town of Mombasa is the second largest city in Kenya. Located in the South-Eastern part of Kenya, it is East Africa’s largest port and it is Kenya’s major tourist destination. The town is full of Indian influences as well as Arab, Swahili, and Bajuni. Mombasa undoubtedly has one of the best white sandy beaches and coral reefs that Africa has to offer. Coupled with historic sites and furnished with an array of hotels on the beachfront, Mombasaa is the ideal place for a vacation. The highlights of Mombasa are the Old town, Fort Jesus, Mombasa tusks, the Hindu temple, Bamburi nature trail, Mamba village, Bombolulu workshop and the Gedi Ruins.
