Courchevel France

Courchevel is a ski resort in the French Alps. It's part of Les Trois Vallées, the largest interconnected ski areas in the world. Courchevel also refers to the towns of Courchevel 1300 (Le Praz), Courchevel 1550, Courchevel 1650 (Moriond), and Courchevel 1850, which are named after their altitudes in meters. These towns are located in the municipality of Saint-Bon-Tarentaise. The resort center of Courchevel is at an altitude of 1,747 meters (5,732 feet). The somewhat deceptive name Courchevel 1850 was selected for marketing purposes to compete with its main competitor, Val d'Isère. It's actually the Jardin Alpin area of Courchevel 1850 (not the center) that is situated at an altitude of 1,850 meters (6,070 feet).
